Yep, it's been 10 years of Bing Turkby now, so to celebrate here at TurkbyTone Rekkids
we're releasing "The best of Bing", a career retrospective.
Handpicked by Mr. Turkby himself, these songs cover everything from wacky to zany.
And more!
The liner notes are handwritten (OK, typed) by Bing too, so you get up close and
personal with the creation of each song.
In the years since 1996, Bing has gone from being an eejit with a geetar to… OK
nothing's changed there really. But he has written a lot of songs. These ones are
the ones that have been popular on the radio, the telly, in underground railways
and military submersibles the world over. In response to a flood of letters from
fans, Bing spent 6 days in solitary confinement refining the tracklisting. In that
time he consumed 16 packs of Burger Rings, 5 bananas, 20 tins of baked beans, and
120 packs of Spaceman Candy Sticks. No-one went near him for a week after.
The newly formed Republic of Turakina will be having a national holiday when the
